Throughout the United States, Latino children with developmental delays are diagnosed over 2.5 years later than children from English only homes. These children fall further behind in school and life and often never catch up to their peers. At Therapitas our mission is to ensure that Latino children have the same access to appropriate therapy as any other child. We do this through our outpatient clinics and community education, and we're looking for leaders to join our team.
We are looking for a pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our OT department.
The responsibilities include:
We work with a mixed group of Eng/Span speaking patients and have interpreters available for all non-bilingual staff. Fluency in Spanish is not required for this position.
Experience with pediatrics is required.
Most importantly we are looking for an OTR that wants to build a department shaped by their ideas and philosophy of therapy. We are looking for a team leader who will take ownership of this position and be actively involved in its growth and development.
